The easiest way to get rid of a bad habit is to replace it with a good habit. It takes twenty-one consecutive days of doing this new pattern to make it a habit. It takes 300 repetitions to create muscle memory. And 3000 repetitions to embody a new behavior. What does all of that mean?
Think back to when you were first learning to drive a car or maybe it’s easier to think about when you were teaching your child to drive. Everything was awkward it was necessary to think about every move you had to make. After several weeks of driving it became more natural. Now that you’ve been driving for years, everything is second nature unless something unusual happens.
