Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference. ~Winston Churchill

I can remember when I use to teach middle school, we had an expression that was on the banners along the hallway, Your attitude determines your altitude. The goal was to inspire students to have the right attitude about school and learning; however, that expression is applicable to all parts of life.

Have you ever been in a situation where you just didn’t think it would change or get better, you had a defeatist attitude, but as soon as you changed your mindset from being a pessimist to being an optimist, things began to change for you. Attitude determines behavior. Some of you have heard me use the story, The Little Engine That Could as a motivator.

That little red engine had the right attitude. As difficult as it appeared to be, he believed he could climb that mountain. He started telling himself, I think I can. I think I can & he did. It was all about having the right attitude.

No matter what you are going through or how difficult things may seem right now, you must develop an attitude that a brighter day is on the horizon and sit back and watch how things began to turn around in your life.
