A friend is one who walks in when others walk out. Walter Winchell

What is true friendship? This question is sometimes a hard one to answer. The Bible says, That to have friends you must first show yourself friendly. That statement sounds easy enough. If I want friends I must first be friendly. The Bible also talks about being wise or using wisdom in all that we do. I also believe that friends can be seasonal. I believe that people are sometimes in our lives for only a moment just to fulfill a purpose. Then there are people that come into our lives that are there for the long haul. Those people are what I consider true friends.

These are people that stick with you through the good and bad times. True friends are the ones that love to see good things happen to you and the ones that hurt when bad things happen to you. True friends are the ones that can tell you you’re wrong and do it with love having your best interest at heart. A true friend is one that you can trust with the most intimate details of your life and they hold those secret until the end. If you have a friend that resembles these characteristics then you have found a friendship that should be cherished for a life time.
